Unit Manager Theatre Full Time

An exciting leadership opportunity is available for an experienced Theatre-trained Registered Nurse to join our client’s professional surgical team in Pretoria. This position is ideal for a confident nursing leader with strong theatre knowledge and proven management experience.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and coordinate the daily operations of the Theatre unit
• Ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality perioperative nursing care
• Provide clinical leadership, guidance, and support to nursing staff
• Manage people and resources effectively within the unit
• Promote patient safety and quality standards
• Support effective implementation of operational and clinical processes
• Apply change management principles to support continuous improvement
•

Maintain accurate clinical and administrative records
• Ensure compliance with relevant healthcare standards and legislation
• Collaborate effectively with the multidisciplinary team

Minimum Requirements:
• Degree or Diploma in Nursing
• Certified qualification in Operating Theatre Nursing
• Current registration with SANC
• Relevant Theatre experience
• Proven managerial experience – essential
• Leadership and people management experience will be advantageous
• Understanding of change management principles
• Computer proficiency
• Valid driver’s licence and ability to travel
• Willingness to work flexible hours
• Understanding of the private hospital environment will be advantageous
