Unit Manager Medical ICU Full Time

Our client has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Unit Manager to lead a busy Medical Intensive Care Unit. This leadership role is suited to a clinically strong professional with a passion for operational excellence, staff development, and exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead and manage the daily operations of the Medical ICU.
• Ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care.
• Manage staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation.
• Drive clinical governance and quality improvement initiatives.
• Monitor departmental performance and patient outcomes.
• Mentor and develop nursing staff.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare legislation and organisational standards.
• Foster effective multidisciplinary collaboration.

Requirements
• Registered with SANC as a Registered Nurse.
• Post-basic qualification in Critical Care Nursing advantageous.
• Previous Medical ICU experience is essential.
• Proven leadership or unit management experience.
• Strong knowledge of clinical governance and quality standards.
• Excellent communication and people management skills.
