Senior Infrastructure Design Engineer Full Time

We are partnering with a prominent consulting firm that is actively seeking a strong and confident individual to join their Civils Department. This is a crucial role based in Johannesburg, where you’ll be instrumental in delivering cutting-edge infrastructure design solutions and leading project teams.

What you’ll be doing:
• Leading infrastructure design functions, including calculations, technical sketches/drawings, and detailed design reports.
• Serving as a Design Lead, managing project teams, and reporting on their progress and performance.
• Performing complex engineering calculations, analysis, and design in accordance with governing codes and standards.
• Conducting site inspections and investigations and reporting on your findings.
• Providing technical input for tender documents and managing the markup and back-draughting of drawings, including signing off “Issued for Construction” drawings.

Requirements:
• A degree in Civil Engineering (BTech, BSc (Eng)).
• 10 years of experience in Infrastructure Design within Mining and Mineral Processing.
• SAICE membership.
• ECSA Professional Registration (PrEng or PrTechEng).
• Proficiency in Infrastructure Design software such as Civil 3D, Civil Designer, or Technocad.
• Basic knowledge of AutoCAD Draughting.
• Competence in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and Word).
• Strong understanding of Infrastructure Buried Services (Fire, Potable, and Sewer Reticulation Analysis).
• Expertise in Storm Water Run-off Analysis & Design of associated structures.
• Proven experience in Roads: Geometric and Pavement Layerworks Design.
• Knowledge of Bulk Earthworks: Terrace Setting Out and Shaping.
• Familiarity with SANS/Colto payment clauses for Bill of Quantities compilation.
