Site Engineer (Buildings) Full Time

A leading construction firm is seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join their dynamic team in Cape Town. This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-profile building projects and contribute to the successful delivery of quality construction work on-site.

Key Requirements:
• BSc or BEng degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years’ experience working as a Site Engineer on building projects (commercial, residential, or mixed-use developments).
• Proven ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong site coordination skills and ability to work closely with site teams, subcontractors, and consultants.
• Experience with setting out, quality control, and monitoring construction progress.
• Sound understanding of construction methods, health & safety regulations, and contract documentation.

Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee and manage day-to-day site activities to ensure work is carried out in accordance with project timelines and specifications.
• Provide technical support to the site team, ensuring quality standards are maintained.
• Liaise with consultants, contractors, and suppliers to coordinate construction activities.
• Assist with planning, setting out, and monitoring of site works.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and site procedures.
• Maintain accurate records, reports, and site documentation.
