Quantity Surveyor Full Time

Our client is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Cape Town. This opportunity is suited to a self-motivated professional with strong commercial and contractual expertise, looking to contribute to a range of construction projects within a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare monthly payment certificates, including variations and claims.
• Compile monthly cost reports, cash flows and budgets.
• Ensure compliance with applicable contractual procedures.
• Conduct risk and value management, cost control and financial monitoring.
• Advise on appropriate procurement strategies.
• Monitor adherence to company procedures and project requirements.
• Prepare tender and contract documentation, including bills of quantities.
• Manage subcontractor-related commercial and contractual matters.
• Perform financial reporting, cost forecasting and cash management.
• Prepare, evaluate and negotiate variations, extension of time claims and contractual entitlements.
• Allocate work, review deliverables and coach team members to improve performance.
• Consider the implications of health and safety regulations throughout project activities.

Minimum Requirements:
• National Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying.
• At least 5 years’ relevant experience within the construction or engineering environment.
• Experience working for a medium to large construction company across a range of projects.
• Proven experience using CCS.
• Sound working knowledge of GCC, FIDIC, JBCC and/or NEC contracts.
• Strong commercial, analytical and organisational skills.
• A valid driver’s licence and own vehicle will be an added advantage.
