Project Manager – Energy Projects Full Time NEW

Our client is seeking a Project Manager to oversee energy projects from initiation through to successful completion. This role requires a strong project management professional who can coordinate multiple stakeholders, manage resources and schedules, and ensure projects remain aligned with scope, budget, quality, and delivery requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
• Plan, execute, and oversee projects from commencement through completion.
• Develop and manage project schedules, resources, milestones, and deliverables.
• Monitor project progress and identify potential delays, risks, and issues.
• Coordinate with expeditors, inspectors, logistics teams, suppliers, and other project stakeholders.
• Manage the expediting process to ensure materials and equipment are delivered according to project requirements.
• Coordinate inspections and support adherence to applicable quality standards.
• Oversee logistics activities, including transportation, warehousing, and site deliveries.
• Resolve project issues and implement appropriate corrective actions.
• Prepare project documentation, progress reports, and other relevant records.
• Maintain effective communication with clients, suppliers, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities to improve project processes, efficiency, and overall performance.

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience in project management, including planning, scheduling, risk management, and stakeholder coordination.
• Experience with expediting and ensuring the timely delivery of materials and equipment.
• Knowledge of inspection processes and quality control within technical or energy-related projects.
• Experience in logistics management, including transport, warehousing, and site deliveries.
• Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Experience in the energy, utilities, or infrastructure sector is advantageous.
• PMP, PRINCE2, or similar project management certification would be beneficial.
• Willingness to work on site in Johannesburg and travel to project locations as required.
