Project Development Engineer Full Time

Are you a driven professional with 2-4 years of experience eager to make a significant impact in the renewable energy sector?
One of our long-standing clients, a highly reputable firm, is expanding its Project Development team and is on the lookout for talented individuals to join them. They have opportunities available in both Johannesburg and Durban.
In these pivotal roles, you’ll contribute to the full lifecycle of Commercial & Industrial (C&I) and Utility-scale renewable energy projects. While a background in project development is definitely a plus, we’re keen to hear from candidates with strong analytical and problem-solving skills from finance, engineering, or related fields.

What You’ll Be Doing:
• Identifying and evaluating new renewable energy project opportunities.
• Assisting with feasibility studies, site assessments, and due diligence.
• Developing project proposals and financial models.
• Engaging with clients and stakeholders, presenting project concepts and solutions.
• Collaborating with internal teams (engineering, legal, finance) to drive project success.

Who We’re Looking For:
• A BEng, BSc, or BTech degree in Engineering is preferred, but we’ll consider other relevant qualifications.
• 2-4 years of professional experience, ideally within renewable energy, finance, or engineering.
• You’ll need strong analytical skills and a proven ability to learn quickly. Project development experience is highly advantageous.
