Electrical Engineer Full Time

Our client is seeking a qualified and experienced Professionally Registered Electrical Engineer to join a prominent multi-disciplinary company as a Project Lead in their Cape Town office.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation, and management of electrical engineering projects within the development and building services sector. This is a permanent employment opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead electrical engineering projects within the building services sector, ensuring delivery within scope, budget, and schedule.
• Prepare detailed designs, specifications, and technical documentation in accordance with industry standards and client requirements.
• Conduct technical assessments and feasibility studies for electrical systems.
• Ensure compliance with SANS, NRS, and other relevant regulations and codes.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and technologists.

Minimum Requirements:
• BEng/BSc or BTech in Electrical Engineering.
• Registered with ECSA as a Professional Engineer (PrEng) or Professional Technologist (PrTech) with 5+ years’ experience as a Professional Engineer/Technologist.
• 7+ years of experience in electrical engineering within the building services sector.
• Proven experience in project leadership and teamwork, from concept design to construction supervision.
• Strong knowledge of electrical building services design, including MV and LV reticulation, lighting, power distribution, and emergency systems.
• Knowledge of Building Management Systems (BMS) and energy efficiency solutions (advantageous).
• Proficiency in design software and standards compliance.
