Tax Manager

Our client is seeking an experienced Tax Manager to oversee tax compliance, advisory matters, and related financial reporting requirements. This role is suited to a technically strong tax professional who can manage deadlines, provide sound tax guidance, and build effective stakeholder relationships.

**Key Responsibilities**

* Manage corporate and individual tax compliance requirements.
* Review tax calculations, returns, and supporting documentation.
* Provide tax advice on relevant business and financial matters.
* Monitor changes in South African tax legislation and assess their impact.
* Manage tax audits, queries, and correspondence with SARS where required.
* Identify potential tax risks and recommend appropriate solutions.
* Assist with tax planning and structuring initiatives.
* Prepare and review tax reports and reconciliations.
* Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on tax-related matters.
* Support and mentor junior tax professionals.

**Requirements**

* Relevant degree in Taxation, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
* Relevant professional tax or accounting qualification would be advantageous.
* Proven experience in a tax management or senior tax role.
* Strong knowledge of South African tax legislation and SARS requirements.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines.
* Good communication and stakeholder-management abilities.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and relevant tax/accounting systems.
