Senior Geotechnical Engineer Full Time

We are partnering with a leading global consulting firm that is actively seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join their Mine Waste team. This full-time position is based out of their Midrand, Johannesburg head office, with flexibility for remote work when not on site or in the office.
This is a fantastic opportunity to provide high-quality geotechnical engineering services across the mining, infrastructure, and property & buildings sectors, contributing to complex and challenging local and international projects.

What you’ll be responsible for:
• Delivering high-quality geotechnical tasks and providing technical leadership for projects in mining, oil & gas, infrastructure, and related fields.
• Delivering high-quality project management on multidisciplinary projects for local and international clients.
• Planning, organizing, supervising, and delivering geotechnical field investigation and geotechnical analysis programs, including interpreting data in a collaborative team setting.
• Contributing to the implementation of corporate HSSE programs.
• Communicating with potential clients and undertaking business development for Mining Engineering Services.
• Role modelling SHEQ standards and contributing to risk identification and Zero Harm initiatives.

What you’ll bring:
• A Master’s Degree or higher tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, or Engineering Geology.
• 10+ years of work experience, with significant geotechnical consultancy experience in mining and oil & gas.
• Proven track record in utilizing geotechnical software for problem-solving.
• Strong knowledge of geotechnical applications and software.
• Professional registration with ECSA.
