Senior Civil Engineer Full Time

We are partnering with an established firm that is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join their Civils Department. This is a key leadership position where you will be responsible for managing projects, mentoring junior staff, and contributing to business development.

Minimum Requirements
• BEng / BSc Civil Engineering Degree
• 15+ years of experience in the design, site supervision, and contract documentation of various civil engineering projects.
• Professional Registration with ECSA as PrEng.
• 3+ years of experience in project management, specifically with Expanded Public Works type projects.
• Proficient in Civil 3D and a strong knowledge of municipal infrastructural civil designs.

Key Responsibilities
• Project Leadership: Act as a Project Leader and Senior Design Engineer, overseeing project inception, costing, and design reviews.
• Technical Expertise: Your professional expertise will be utilized in the planning, design, and contract administration of roads, sewerage, water, and stormwater systems.
• Team Management: You will be responsible for managing project staff, including technicians and engineers, as well as mentoring and training them.
• Business Development: Take an active role in client engagement, marketing, and the procurement of new work.
• Contract Administration: Prepare contract documentation and technical specifications and monitor the administration of construction contracts.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure all work meets ISO 9001 quality assurance standards.
