Project Development Professional Full Time

Are you a highly experienced Renewable Energy Project Development Professional with a robust track record of at least 8 years in PV, Wind, and BESS? Do you thrive in a self-disciplined environment and possess the tenacity to drive complex projects to financial close?
Our client, a leading renewable energy firm, is actively seeking a seasoned professional to join their dynamic team. This pivotal role involves leading projects through advanced engineering design, navigating critical permitting processes, and fostering key stakeholder relationships.

What you’ll bring to the table (the critical experience):
• 5-8 years, preferably 8+ years, of hands-on experience in PV (Solar Photovoltaic), Wind, and/or BESS (Battery Energy Storage System) project development and execution.
• A proven track record of leading projects up to financial close, demonstrating expertise in the advanced engineering design phase.
• A deep understanding of the entire development process, including SPLUMA, Section 53 applications, land rezoning, Water Use Licenses, and CEL applications, enabling you to fully permit projects.
• Experience with the EIA process is essential.
• Exceptional ability to work with landowners, including securing and developing land, and building confidence with them and service providers.
• A strong understanding of technical issues to propose optimal generation solutions or combinations for specific sites.
• A good relationship with Eskom is a strong bonus.
