Civil Site Agent / Assistant Site Agent Full Time

Are you a highly experienced Civil Site Agent or Assistant Site Agent with a proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale civil projects?
We are partnering with a leading civil contractor that is actively seeking skilled professionals to join their team. This is a crucial opportunity for individuals who can independently manage projects and excel in complex, multidisciplinary environments.

What you’ll bring to the role:
• BSc/BEng/BTech degree in Civil Engineering
• 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience on at least 3 mining projects is a must.
• The ability to independently run a civils project with a value of at least R100m.

Your core responsibilities will include:
• Project Execution: Planning and executing the mobilization to new projects.
• Contract Management: A strong understanding of contract principles, specifically FIDIC or NEC. You must be able to notify clients of potential delays and compile the necessary back-up for claims.
• SHEQ & Compliance: Familiarity with all aspects of SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality) and document control, including the proper issuing of drawings.
• Planning & Programming: Proficiency in project programming using CCS or MS Projects, including resourcing and progress updates.
• Commercial Acumen: A solid understanding of the quantity surveying side of a project, including reconciliations, checking ledgers, and preparing daily costing and cost reports.
• Team & Stakeholder Management: Familiarity with basic HR/IR principles and the ability to work effectively with clients and subcontractors.

This position is for an individual who is comfortable with a high level of responsibility and has hands-on experience in a variety of complex civil works, including:
• Industrial Buildings
• Heavy Industrial Plants (power stations, smelters, furnaces)
• Large Concrete Structures (reservoirs, silos, towers incl. slipforming)
• Mining Infrastructure (surface civils)
• Water & Effluent Treatment
• Renewable Energy (windfarms, solar farms)
• Oil & Gas (civil works)
• Bridges
