Platform / Cloud Engineer Full Time NEW

Our client is seeking a Platform / Cloud Engineer with strong Kubernetes, AWS and DevOps experience to build, maintain and improve modern cloud platforms. This opportunity is suited to an engineer who enjoys working with containerised workloads, automation, CI/CD and reliability-focused engineering practices.

Key Responsibilities
• Build and support applications running on AWS and Kubernetes.
• Administer Kubernetes environments, including ingress, networking and RBAC.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or similar platforms.
• Implement Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform, CloudFormation or related tools.
• Support GitOps practices using tools such as ArgoCD, Flux, Helm and Kustomize.
• Enhance monitoring, observability and alerting across cloud-native environments.
• Define and monitor SLI, SLO and SLA metrics.
• Participate in release management and deployment oversight.
• Contribute to SRE practices including incident response, automation and reliability improvements.
• Build platform APIs, automation, tooling and internal developer platforms where required.

Technical Requirements
• Strong AWS experience, including services such as EKS, VPC, S3, RDS, IAM, Fargate, Lambda and CloudFront.
• Understanding of AWS Well-Architected principles.
• Solid Kubernetes and EKS experience.
• Experience with containerisation and cloud-native tooling.
• Practical CI/CD experience with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps or similar.
• Infrastructure-as-Code experience with Terraform, CloudFormation or Crossplane.
• Experience with Helm and/or Kustomize.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes GitOps practices, preferably with ArgoCD or Flux.
• Monitoring and observability experience using Prometheus, Grafana and/or CloudWatch.
• Linux experience.
• Understanding of distributed systems and architectures.
• Programming or scripting experience in Python, Go, Java or JavaScript.

Advantageous
• AWS Associate-level certification or substantial equivalent experience.
• Kubernetes Application Developer certification or equivalent experience.
• Experience with AWS DevOps tooling.
• Knowledge of X-Ray, OpenTracing or similar observability technologies.
• Experience building platform APIs, automation tooling or internal developer platforms.
