Civil Engineer Full Time

Our client in Pretoria is seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Civil Engineer specializing in Water Infrastructure to join their team. This pivotal role involves leading complex projects from concept to implementation, optimizing municipal services, and providing expert technical guidance.

What You’ll Be Doing:
• Drive the creation of comprehensive civil infrastructure master plans, catchment management strategies, and feasibility studies for large-scale municipal areas.
• Compile essential services reports for land use applications, ensuring strict adherence to municipal policies and standards.
• Lead multidisciplinary project teams across water, sewer, roads, and stormwater infrastructure.
• Utilize your advanced skills in detailed hydraulic modeling for stormwater, water, and sewer systems. You’ll conduct floodline determinations, design attenuation systems, and analyze optimization strategies for water delivery and outfall sewer systems.

What You’ll Need:
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (BEng/BSc/BTech Civil Engineering)
• Professional Engineer registration (Pr.Eng/ B.Tech) with ECSA or eligibility to register.
• 6 – 10 years of relevant civil engineering experience, with a strong focus on municipal infrastructure and stormwater management.
• Experience in master planning of municipal infrastructure (water, sewer, stormwater) and proficiency in hydraulic modeling software and infrastructure design tools.
• Hands-on experience with Autodesk Civil 3D, Devotech iDAS, and Autodesk SSA.
