Water Infrastructure – Section Manager Full Time

Drive impactful water infrastructure projects from inception to completion!
Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to lead their Water Infrastructure Section. This pivotal role encompasses project acquisition, management, financial oversight, and technical design, offering the opportunity to shape critical infrastructure and mentor a talented team.

Key Responsibilities:
• Proactively identify market opportunities and cultivate strong client relationships to generate repeat business.
• Prepare compelling tenders, EOIs, and proposals, providing expert input into large infrastructure projects.
• Secure and successfully deliver projects for the section, collaborating with other functional teams.
• Monitor and optimize staff utilization levels, ensuring appropriate resourcing for all projects.
• Oversee project-related construction administration and financial management (budgeting, invoicing, etc.).
• Drive profitability within the local section and function, managing overheads and budgets.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
• Bachelor of Engineering degree or higher from an accredited university/college (B.Eng and B.Tech Eng considered).
• Registration as a Professional Engineer or Professional Engineering Technologist with a minimum of 5 years post registration.
• 10-15 years of practical experience in the relevant discipline.
• Proven experience in design using appropriate software, documentation, and delivery of major civil design projects.
• Experience in managing infrastructure design projects involving teams of civil designers and CAD operators.
• Strong understanding of Government standards, codes, and documentation.
