Water Engineer/Technologist Full Time

A well-established multidisciplinary consulting engineering firm is looking for a Water Engineer / Technologist to join their dynamic team in Cape Town. The successful candidate will work on a range of municipal water and sewerage infrastructure projects, including large diameter pipelines, bulk sewers, pump stations, reservoirs, and water/sewer reticulation networks.

Minimum Requirements:
• BSc / BEng / BTech in Civil Engineering
• Minimum 6 years’ experience in municipal water and sewer infrastructure
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Civil 3D
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to manage deliverables and collaborate within multidisciplinary teams
• Mentorship capabilities for junior staff and CAD personnel
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Advantageous Experience and Skills:
• Eligible for ECSA registration (Pr Eng / Pr Tech Eng)
• Experience in pump station and reservoir design
• Project management and construction contract administration experience
• Familiarity with MS Project
• Experience with tender and proposal preparation
• Experience coordinating sub-consultants and project teams

Key Responsibilities:
• Design of municipal water and sewerage systems
• Preparation of technical reports, drawings, specs, and BOQs
• Support construction supervision and contract administration
• Stakeholder engagement and coordination
• Mentoring and technical guidance for junior team members
