Senior Wastewater and Water Treatment Expert Full Time

They are looking for talented professional to complement their team, in the form of a Senior Wastewater and Water Treatment Expert.

Core Purpose:
• Lead and deliver professional consulting engineering services related to water and wastewater treatment infrastructure.
• Deliver innovative and sustainable solutions, including water reuse and reclamation, to address growing water scarcity challenges.
• This includes feasibility studies, planning, design, procurement, construction supervision, commissioning and project close-out for water and wastewater treatment works as well as tertiary treatment for reclamation across South Africa and Africa.

Minimum Requirements:
Qualification:
• BSc/BEng in Chemical, Civil, or Process Engineering.
• Master’s degree in Water, Environmental or Process Engineering (advantageous).
• Professional Registration (PrEng) with ECSA required.
Experience:
• 15-20 years’ relevant experience in water and wastewater treatment projects.
• Demonstrated expertise in both greenfield and brownfield projects.
• Hands-on experience in the design, specification, and commissioning of:
• Water Treatment Plants (conventional and advanced)
• Wastewater Treatment Plants (activated sludge, MBR, BNR, etc.).
• Proven experience in water reuse projects, including potable and non-potable reuse schemes.
• Familiarity with reuse-specific technologies and regulatory frameworks.
• Familiarity with national standards such as SANS, SABS, and regulatory requirements.
• Knowledge of contract administration (GCC, FIDIC).
• Proficiency in relevant software: AutoCAD, Civil Designer, Civil3D; process simulation tools a plus.
