Senior Project Manager Full Time

A leading engineering and consultancy firm is looking for a dynamic Senior Project Manager to join their team in Woodmead, Johannesburg.
As the Senior Project Manager, you will be accountable for a wide range of responsibilities that ensure project success, profitability, and client satisfaction. You will identify and mitigate project risks, manage resources, and oversee project financials to achieve the best possible outcomes.
A key part of this role is your ability to embrace digital transformation. They are looking for a candidate who is not only familiar with traditional project management but is also adept with digital tools like BIM (Building Information Modelling). You will be responsible for leveraging these technologies to improve collaboration, decision-making, and overall project performance.

Your main responsibilities will include:
• Project Leadership: Directing project activities, managing teams, and fostering a collaborative environment to achieve project goals.
• Commercial Management: Analyzing client needs, preparing proposals, and managing project budgets, costs, and forecasting to ensure profitability.
• Risk & Quality Control: Identifying and managing project risks, while ensuring project deliverables meet client expectations and quality standards.
• Digital Integration: Utilizing digital tools and methodologies such as BIM, ISO 19650, and Common Data Environments (CDE) to optimize project workflows and performance.

Minimum Requirements
• Education: A BEng, BSc, or BTech in Engineering.
• Experience: 10+ years of experience in Project Management, with a proven track record of managing multi-disciplinary projects over 12 months in duration.
• Certifications: Project Management certification (IPMA, PMI, APM, or similar) is required. Registration with ECSA as a Professional Engineer (Pr. Eng) or Technologist (Pr Tech Eng) and/or with SACPMP as a Pr. CPM/Pr. CM is highly preferred.
• Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of contract management, business development, and municipal/consulting engineering work is advantageous.
