Senior Professional Structural Engineer Full Time

We are working with a highly respected consulting engineering firm that is actively seeking a pivotal leader for their Structural Department in Johannesburg. This isn’t just a role; it’s an opportunity to provide expert structural engineering services and drive the successful delivery of diverse, multidisciplinary projects within a high-performance environment.

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree (BSc/BEng/BTech) or master’s degree (MSc/Meng) in Civil Structural Engineering
• Professionally registered with ECSA – PrEng/PrTech
• 10+ years of professional experience, including at least 2-3 years post professional registration.
• Effective report writing.
• Solid understanding of project financial knowledge, including budgeting, forecasting, and invoicing.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities (including, but not limited to):
• Conceptual and detailed design development on multiple complex projects, providing efficient structural engineering solutions.
• Strong emphasis on structural engineering detailed design, utilizing the latest software while maintaining a firm grasp of first principal hand calculations for verification.
• Assisting with budgets, resourcing, and outsourcing within the department.
• Drafting and implementing Works Authorisations/Variation Orders and assessing Contractor’s claims.
