Senior Mechanical Engineer – Building Services Full Time

Seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead a growing division within a dynamic, well-established consulting engineering practice in Cape Town’s Southern Suburbs. This role offers unlimited career growth potential and exposure to fascinating luxury lodge projects, both locally and abroad.
Our client is looking for a Professionally Registered Mechanical Engineer (ECSA) with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in building services design.

Key responsibilities include:
• Management of diverse wet services & HVAC projects.
• Mentoring junior team members and holding project teams accountable.
• Maintaining expertise in current mechanical technologies and trends.

Requirements:
• Proven design experience in HVAC & plumbing systems for residential, hospitality, commercial & retail buildings.
• Knowledge of SANS 10400-XA thermal modelling.
• Interest in off-grid & remote development services design.
• Proficiency in Revit MEP, AutoCAD, MS Office, and thermal modelling software (e.g., Carrier HAP/Designbuilder).
• Understanding of SA building codes & standards.
• Willingness to travel internationally.
• Experience in Fire design and/or GBCSA/LEED accreditation is a plus.
