Design Engineer Full Time

A leading engineering partner seeks a talented Design Engineer (Railway) for impactful transportation projects in Gauteng North. Join a dynamic team and become a railway design expert.
Job Summary:
Serve as the Railway Design Engineer on planning, preliminary, and final design of various railway projects, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and specialists.

Key Responsibilities:
• Drive innovative railway design solutions using advanced software and standards.
• Deliver specialized technical expertise in railway studies and designs.
• Develop and review technical specifications, design calculations, 3D models, and documentation.
• Perform technical quality assurance reviews.
• Manage deliverables within agreed budgets and timelines.
• Consult with authorities for technical approvals.
• Develop accurate construction cost estimates.
• Present technical solutions to clients and participate in meetings.
• Contribute to bid development and proposal preparation.

Requirements:
• BSc/Beng/BTech Degree (Civil Engineering).
• Master’s degree in civil engineering (advantageous).
• Must be PrEng registered or registrable within one year (ECSA)
• 5+ years’ experience in railway engineering projects (geometric alignment, assessments, maintenance, stations, material handling).
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Civil 3D for railway geometric design.
• Familiarity with South African and international railway standards.
